Wedding and reception will be semi-formal. We recommend flats since we will be on the beach, and it might get chilly towards the night. All other events will be casual.
A shuttle will be provided to the wedding venue from the Grand Hyatt. A shuttle back to the Grand Hyatt will leave at 11PM. If you would like to go back sooner, our wedding coordinators can help you get back to your lodging.
Transportation between the airport and Playa del Carmen is not provided. Please see the travel page for more info.
In most cases, you will not need any visas or fill out the old immigration form (if you are flying in/out of Cancun, Mexico City, or Cozumel). Please check all local laws for the most up to date info.
Yes. While many vendors take US Dollars and credit cards, they will give you a less favorable exchange rate than a foreign currency exchange. There are places to exchange currencies in most airports as well as Playa del Carmen if you forget, but we’ve found that they don’t have the best rates.
The immigration line can look massive, but the line goes quickly due to the large amount of tourism. After baggage / customs, ignore the tons of people selling timeshares and exit to the outside. Your transportation service should tell you how to find them ahead of time.
Ignore offers of transportation from solicitors outside the arrival terminals.
